I apologise for the long delay! Part of this was a bit of a discussion I had with Poisontaster (which worked out all right in the end, but we hadn't ever actually talked about my writing FPF in the Keptverse: cleared the air/clarified things, basically, this is definitely not-official not-supported fanfic, but it's cool.) But that was last week. Most of the delay was I've had this hideously awful cold and it's eaten my brain and I was fighting to get part 6 and part 7 written and get at least 300 words into "End Game" before I posted part 6. But I did and I have and here you are. I am so sorry.

As far as I know, I'm the only person writing AU Keptverse fanfic.

The Keptverse, if you've missed this so far, is an AU North American Empire (United States of North America) including Canada and Mexico, inhabited pretty much entirely by the cast of prime time TV series, directors, script writers, and extras, in which debt slavery is real.

My AU Keptverse is exactly like the original Keptverse except that all the TV series are real: characters, not cast, inhabit the United States of North America. Oh, and I threw in movies, too.

If you'd join/participate in a community for the AU Keptverse (FPS stories only) here on IJ, please comment on this post, and if you have any ideas about what to call it, please say... I'd be happy to create/mod such a community, and leave it open for stories, meta, anything connected to AU Keptverse that people want, but I don't particularly want to set a community up unless people are going to use it.

Other news:

I'm on to part 5 of "The Pieces". Part 6 and 7 to go. But, it's shaping up to be a fairly brisk story - and tomorrow I go back to work. :-( So, I'm thinking I shouldn't post till I can tell you definitely I'll be doing so in sequence, one post a day till I'm done - and I won't be sure I can do that till I'm moving down to the finish line on part 7.

("End Game" is taking place in the back of my head at the moment, but it is definitely brewing up.)

On the other hand, if you want 3 and 4 today and tomorrow, I can do that, but there might be a wait then for part 5...

Sorry for the long gap - partly Yuletide, partly family stuff, partly computer woes, partly a nasty cold that Santa gave me for Christmas. (He's a git, by the way.) I want to thank Dusk Peterson, whose lovely and thoughtful review of my Keptverse series to date really gave me the emotional kickstart I needed to sit down and finish part 2, despite all difficulties.
