NaNoWriMo, except not quite
I'm committing to do NaNoWriMo this year, except not.

I do not feel up to planning to write a novel this November. I do not want to try and fail, either.

I commit to writing 50 000 words of fiction this November - 12500 per week (Saturday morning to Friday night).

That can be anything - I may write more of "The Games", I may write my sequel to "Friend and Stranger", I might write some Austenverse fic. Some of what I write I may post to this journal (well, I certainly will if I write more of "The Games", or more of "Through the Mirror", obviously).

Who wants to join a NaNoWriMo community here which will be all about the writing, each day, every day, aiming for 12500 per week (because some days are easier for long writing stints than other days)? If you're interested, comment. If you'd rather it was on journalfen, comment and say so.

Me!

I signed up at the NaNo website and will still be trying to write a novel, because I think it'd do me good to complete a large project, but knowing myself probably I will have to take several days out to write something else. This sounds like a good alternative route to the same goal!

Oo! And I just asked you, because I was hoping.

Okay. I'll set up the community. Yay.

I'd definitely be interested in that! I've got 50,000 words in me, I think, but not all on the same thing.

Ooh, I really uncertain about this.

I signed up for Nano this year (having failed--twice--long enough ago it's forgotten about me) 'cos I'd've finsihed one or even both OU courses (have finished one) and the next day got some paid freelance work to do. So I've 20 hours a week of work, plus OU, plus it's the busiest time of the year for birthdays and outside commitments and suchlike. So, realistically I haven't the time. And haven't had the time to plan, so I don't know what to do, but...

I've signed up. If I wobble and want to work on something that's already half-done or write it in haiku, I could join in on IJ.
